Sometimes you go to the news and sometimes the news comes to you.

Mike McGuff says there were some scary moments at the KTRK studios this morning as gunshots were fired into the station's parking lot. There were no reports of injuries.

A Houston Police Department spokesperson told mikemcguff.com it happened around 5:40am. Police say a witness saw a person point and fire a weapon into the parking lot.

Five vehicles in the parking lot were damaged as a result with several having windows shot out.

At least some of the event was captured on surveillance cameras. A police investigation is underway.
