Real Estate Agent Suing Philly Station
/A Real Estate agent's lawyer is suing a Philly station after a story they aired, got his client fired.
The Real Estate Agency terminated Andrea Straub’s employment, according to her defamation lawyer, Attorney George Bochetto.
"The Straubs are victims of horrible falsities and we will prove it in the court of law," said Bochetto in a statement released Wednesday to Philadelphia media.
Straub and her husband, Jonathan, of Haverford, were cited with disorderly conduct and harassment after Lower Merion police say they were confronted with surveillance video showing the two knocking down “for sale” signs and throwing dead animals on a neighbor's property.
In a statement Wednesday, Bochetto specifically names KYW CBS 3 Eyewitness News, blaming the TV news show’s reporting of the citation for Straub’s firing.
" (The) unfortunate termination of Andrea Straub today was precipitated entirely by CBS 3 Eyewitness News' instantaneous villification of the Straubs in their ratings-driven rush to break a story. Their report was riddled with falsities and we'll lay it all out at next week's press conference."
Bochetto has announced a press conference will be held to “divulge previously unreported facts in the case.”
