It's a changing of the guard at WPIX in New York.
As FTVLive told you, the struggling Tribune station recently hired Mark Effron as their new News Director.
And with a new ND, changes can be expected.
Longtime Assistant News Director John Houseman is leaving the station at the end of Today.
Houseman spent more than 20 years at WPIX and he was the interim News Director for months after Bill Carey left the station.
It was widely speculated that when he wasn't bumped up to the ND gig, that his future at the station was expected to be short lived.
It was and he's out, but word is he's leaving on good terms.
Effron is expect to hire "his own person" in the next few weeks.
