ESPN is sacking around 300 staffers and they have come up with a new term.

The employees were not laid off, fired, sacked or bounced.

They were "smartly managed" out the door.

The sports net is looking to pink slip around 300 people and according to their mouthpiece Katina Arnold the network is "implementing changes across the company to enhance our continued growth while smartly managing costs," Ms. Arnold said.

The last time ESPN "Smartly Managed" people out the door was in 2009.
