Ft. Wayne Reporter Dodges Jail Time

As FTVLive told you, WANE reporter Megan Reust was busted St. Patrick’s Day weekend on a suspicion of drunken driving.

A Fort Wayne police officer clocked Reust driving 57 mph in a 35-mph zone.

Yesterday, Reust ​pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving, and was given a 180-day suspended jail sentence.

She pleaded guilty in Allen Superior Court’s misdemeanor and traffic division to a Class B misdemeanor charge of reckless driving and was given a suspended sentence. Reust must also pay more than $500 in fines and costs, according to court records.

Her driver’s license was not suspended, officials said.
