Yesterday, FTVLive told you that MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry, host of a Sunday morning MSNBC show that bears her name, cut the promo spot to promote her program.

In the spot Harris-Perry says 'We have never invested as much in public education as we should have,' Harris-Perry says in the ad, 'because we've always had kind of a private notion of children: "Your kid is yours, and totally your responsibility." We haven't had a very collective notion of "these are our children."'

The promo got the right wing up and flying. Harris-Perry took heat from both the Beauty and the Beast (Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh).

Well, Harris-Perry says she has "no intention of apologizing" for her ad.

In a blog post on MSNBC.com Harris-Perry writes "Allow me to double down," Harris-Perry began. "I have no intention of apologizing for saying that our children, all of our children, are part of more than our households, they are part of our communities and deserve to have the care, attention, resources, respect and opportunities of those communities."

She also wrote that she has "no designs on taking your children," adding, "That is not what I was talking about, and you know it." And no hateful thing that you say to me or about me will ever change that I want those things for your children.

If you haven't seen the promo spot, here it is again:
