Santa Barbara Anchor Still Off Air

KEYT Anchor Paula Lopez is still not back on the air after a bizarre episode where ​she "went missing" for a brief period.

The anchor was reported missing and was part of a massive police search. She was later found safe in her home... her family and cops calling her disappearance a private matter.

She supposedly had a "medical condition" that lead to her disappearance, but no one is saying that ​medical condition is.

She has not returned to the at KEYT since the incident. KEYT Anchor C.J. Ward did tell viewers on Friday night that Lopez will be resuming her job soon.

Lopez appeared in public this past weekend to receive received an honor at her alma matter Santa Barbara High School.

Lopez and several other alumni were named to the “Wall of Fame,” which honors graduates who have made significant community achievements. Lopez is a ninth-generation Santa Barbaran.

“I just want to thank in terms of being recognized, a lot of it is due to my KEYT family over the decades and our wonderful, wonderful viewers who have been so supportive of my career,” Lopez told the crowd at the ceremony.
