What the Puck! Reporter Takes one to the Face

Talk about being at the wrong place at the wrong time....

During an NHL game, New York Rangers reporter John Giannone took a puck to the face during last night's game between the Rangers and the New York Islanders.

A Rangers defenseman was trying to dump the puck in but it cleared the boards and landed in the area separating the teams’ benches. Problem is that is exactly where  Giannone stands for his reports.

Giannone was hit squarely on the bridge of the nose and began bleeding. But just like a tough hockey player he took it like a champ. The guy didn’t even stop broadcasting, and instead received treatment while on air.
