Sacramento Station Names New Morning Anchor

A Fresno Anchor is headed up The 5 to take an Anchor gig in Sacramento.

Bay Area native Audrey Asistio joins  KOVR as morning news anchor.

She starts at the station this morning.

Asistio comes to KOVR from down the road at NBC affiliate KSEE in Fresno.

She worked at the Fresno station for the past two years.

"I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to work with my new family in the capital city," Asistio said. "Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would be working at a station I have always respected and admired.

"Sacramento's KOVR was my favorite station to watch when I worked in Chico."
