Dayton Station has New News Set for the Feb Book
/There always seems to be refreshed energy whenever a station takes the wraps off a new news set.
WKEF in Dayton did just that to kick off the Feb Book. After weeks of hard work and rehearsals, and with much anticipation, WKEF launched their new HD news set to great reviews.
According to News Director, Wes Finley, their debut went off very well!
The new set was designed and built by Devlin Design Group.
According to DDG big boss Dan Devlin the WKEF set is composed of large scenic walls with graphics on acrylic that are lit from behind with color-changing LED’s. A contemporary wave design interspersed throughout adds a touch of sophistication to the overall look. The set is fresh and modern with a nice mix of polished acrylics, refined cherry woods and a touch of brushed metallic thrown in.
Technology is incorporated into the set with a large 2x4 video wall in the multi-purpose area, a 1x4 strip of monitors in the Weather Center and with a rear projection screen is also added to the mix, they now have multiple venues to present breaking news, weather, sports and for station branding with logos and other graphics.
