Anchor Bumped Up to News Director

I still get a kick out of the small markets that have one of their Anchors also wearing the News Director hat.

I always wondered how you bitch about the Anchor to the ND and it's the same person?

In little Lima, Ohio, Anchor Jeff Fitzgerald, news anchor with WLIO Your Hometown Lima Stations, has been named news director, effective Jan. 1.

Fitzgerald has 28 years of experience in the news business in Lima. He will oversee the direction and content of the stations’ news operation. Additionally, he will continue to anchor the 6 p.m. news Monday through Friday.
