Blame the Intern

WFMZ (Allentown) reported the news that Comedian Phyllis Diller had died on Monday at the age of 95. 

The problem was that Diller died over a year ago on August 20, 2012.  

The news of Diller's death came up on WFMZ's timeline on their Facebook page. Many that stopped by the page ridiculed the station for being so late with the news. 

WFMZ posted two different messages on the story, putting the blame on Facebook (see screen grab above). 

But, the published date was dated yesterday before it was changed to August 2012.  

The station is still blaming Facebook, but some say that the station is using the Facebook excuse to cover up for their mistake.  

Either way, last we checked, Phyllis Diller remains very much dead.
