Well Damn! Would You Look at That
/Remember when FTVLive FIRST reported the news that KNBC Anchor Lucy Noland was off the 6PM broadcast?
Remember how we told You that Noland was going to be sent packing from the station, even though others said that was not the case?
Well, you might want to read this internal memo that went out to the KNBC staff:

Subject: Lucy's Next Chapter
Passionate
Loves the news
Serious about journalism
When you describe the qualities you want in an anchor and reporter, you want someone passionate about their craft who loves news and is serious about quality journalism.
Lucy Noland has all those qualities and one more quality that makes her standout in our business.
Dedicated mother
And it’s that quality in Lucy, a dedicated mother, that has her ready to do something you rarely get to do in our business, take time off to spend it with your family.
After a lot of thought and discussion, Lucy has decided that this moment in her life is a chance for her to do something she has never done, spend the holidays –all of them- with her family.
Lucy will never stop being a journalist, writer and news junkie, and no doubt she will be back on TV soon, but this Friday will be her last day at NBC4.
She has been a great teammate, always willing to take on any role during breaking news and help out.
We will miss her passion for storytelling and dedication to quality, and at the same time, we know that as a dedicated mother she is making the right decision for her family, which has always come first.
Please join me in wishing Lucy well as she starts to write a new chapter in her life and career.
Todd Mokhtari
NBC4 VP of News
Of course, we would have loved to call KNBC to get a comment on this.....but you know.
