Can Old Media Boss Move to New Media?

Twitter has announced that they have hired NBC News SVP and chief digital officer Vivian Schiller to head up their newly-created head of news position.

Twitter says that Schiller will work with journalists on how to best use the platform and enter into partnership deals with other news organizations. She’ll also come up with ways that Twitter better serve journalists.

Schiller has only been at NBC News for a cup of coffee, she the network.  Before coming to the Peacock, Schiller was CEO and president of NPR.
