The TV Station Sales Continue

The selling and buying of TV stations continues. This time Spokane, Wash.-based Cowles Co. on Tuesday announced plans to buy a group of seven television stations from the Max Media of Montana Co.

Cowles publishes The Spokesman-Review and already owns NBC affiliate KHQ Spokane.

All the stations they are buying are in small markets. The stations being sold are: KULR Billings; KTMF with stations in Missoula and Kalispell; KWYB Butte and Bozeman; KFBB Great Falls and KHBB Helena. KULR is an NBC affiliate and the others are ABC/Fox affiliates.
