Reporter Finds that Drinking and Tweeting Don't Mix

Tom Lyden, a Reporter with Fox affiliate KMSP in Minneapolis went to the Upper Midwest Emmys awards this past Weekend.

Lyden didn't win an Emmy, but he did Tweet about his night and apparently also enjoyed a few (too many) beverages along the way. It ended with him threatening to ______ someone's cat. 

The Minneapolis City Pages writes that Lyden's tweets, which progressed from slightly saucy at 9 p.m. to full-blown crunked a few hours later.

When  Lyden woke up the next day he realized his cat Tweet was over the line. He sent this apology to the City Pages:

During a night of celebration I sent out a Tweet that was intended to be a little crazy and edgy. It was actually just weird and in poor taste. Let me be perfectly clear, I adore cats, including my own, and would never do them harm. I was also honored to be nominated for several Emmys. The other Tweets were fairly on the money. Jen's legs are lovely, and we had a fun evening dancing.
