When Fake News Travels Quickly

Last week, FTVLive showed you how Cox’s WFTV (Orlando) posted a fact riddled story about the shooting at Florida State University.

It’s crap like this that gives people more reasons not to trust the media, but it gets worse.

The problem with the erroneous info that WFTV tweeted. The “X” AI model takes the info that is most tweeted and makes that the headline (above). This is what X/Twitter had as their “headline” on Thursday.

Erroneous info gets magnified with more social media interaction, so it’s a self-perpetuating system. 

Not only did they say 5 dead, but two shooters was also a part of their story.
