Station will Sprinkle in some Feature Stories
/Longtime WCNC (Charlotte) morning TV weatherman Larry Sprinkle celebrates 40 years at the station. But, the next 40 will be a bit different.
Sprinkle is stepping back from his weather duties and will have a new role doing the feature stories and community involvement.
Sprinkle signs off on the morning show next week and will be replaced morning traffic anchor/midday meteorologist Chris Mulcahy.
“I want to be at this TV station until television is no more,” Sprinkle said. “But maybe moving away from getting up at 1:15 to a more normal time, and letting someone who deserves the job come in and take the job.”
