Is It Still Relevant?

The National Association of Broadcasters show in Las Vegas is scheduled for April 5 to 9th in Las Vegas.

The NAB Show has been held since 1991 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and there was a time that it was on the must attend list.

But, with all the changes in broadcasting, is the NAB Show still relevant any longer?

FTVLive has talked to a number of people and most have said they are not attending the show this year. “It’s only a show for the TV dinosaurs that are still hanging around the business,” said one General Manager to FTVLive.

FTVLive will not be going, and we haven’t been for the past 6 or 7 years.

I do remember going about 10 years ago, and there were people handing out flyers on the Strip for hookers. The flyer said “NBA Special Prices” as it touted their prostitutes.

I always wonder how disappointed the hookers were, when it was just some old out of shape white guy when they showed up and not some NBA star?
