DC Reporter Dies

The Washington, D.C. community mourns the loss of longtime WRC reporter Derrick Ward, who passed away on Tuesday at the age of 62. According to a local news outlet, Ward died following complications from a cardiac arrest. Ward's illustrious career as a general assignment reporter saw him cover a multitude of historic events, including the 9/11 attacks on the Pentagon and the D.C. sniper shootings. His reporting not only provided vital information but also connected with the community on a personal level.
