Tegna Station is the Last to Leave Downtown St. Louis
/After more than 70 years in downtown St. Louis, Tegna’s KSDK has decided to flee the city.
A couple of years ago, Gray’s KMOV ditched downtown St. Louis for a new place in the burbs.
KSDK is selling the high-rise office building they built new in the 1980’s, after moving there from their original downtown location, where the station signed-on in 1947 as the first station of the old Pulitzer Broadcasting chain…… then KSD-TV was owned by the newspaper, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The crime problem in St. Louis is out of hand and KSDK only has secure parking for a relative handful of employees, the rest have to park elsewhere and walk to the building.
Tegna has decided to move on from the city.
