Allen Cuts Deep in a Small Market

Yesterday, in a Patron ONLY story, FTVLive told you about cuts in Terre Haute at Allen's WTHI.

WTHI longtime talent, Anchor Patrece Dayton and Storm Team Chief Meteorologist Kevin Orpurt are having their positions eliminated.

The two have been at the station for decades.

We also hear that a Producer, who’s been with the station over 30 years is being let go. Allen is also not expected to replace a Morning Anchor position that was open.

An insider tells FTVLive that about 14 positions are being taken off the payroll.

While 14 positions might not be a lot in a Chicago TV newsroom, it is a massive amount in a market the size of Terre Haute.

FTVLive hears that Allen Media is not done swinging the ax.
