FTVLive doesn’t do many stories on the Chief Engineers at TV stations, we mainly stick to the newsroom.

But WJAC Chief Engineer Rob Abele deserves a bit of a shout-out.

Abele retired from The Altoona, PA station after 53 years.

53 years!

That is one hell of a run.

I once made it four years at a station, and I felt like I had been there forever.
