Struggling Boston Station to Go Heavy on News (Sort Of)

Word is that Cox’s struggling WFXT is going all in on news.

The station is dumping most of its syndicated programing and is expected to run nearly 18 hours of local news a day.

But, it should be pointed out, this won’t be all live news. The morning newscast will play on repeat until 1PM.

Boston 25 will then do news from 4-7PM before going to Fox primetime. the station’s hour long 10 PM newscast will be rerun until the morning show starts back up.

It’s a lot of news, but most of it will be pre-recorded repeats.
