WTF Comcast?!

This is an example of a company trying to grease the hand of a politician.

After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, NBC parent company Comcast announced it would give employees seeking to terminate a pregnancy as much as $10,000 to travel from states with strict anti-abortion laws to those with greater protections.

Now, word comes that Comcast cut a check to one of the main groups seeking to restrict abortion rights.

Comcast gave $50,000 to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s Florida Freedom Fund.

The fund is a PAC launched by the governor to block an abortion rights initiative in the state.

“It’s an example of vile corporate hypocrisy. I would encourage everyone in Florida to think about which company they choose to give their money to,” said Anna Hochkammer, executive director of the Florida Women’s Freedom Coalition, which helped draft Florida’s proposed constitutional amendment and gathered the signatures to place it before voters November 5.

Comcast is getting ready to launch its next huge theme park, Epic Universe, in 2025. It looks like they are trying to get DeSantis on team Comcast before they cut the ribbon.
