Sources tell FTVLive that around 10 people at WBBM in Chicago caught the blade as part of Paramount's “Phase 2” company-wide layoffs.

“Like the entire Media industry, we are working to accelerate streaming profitability while at the same time adjusting to the evolving landscape in our traditional businesses,” the staff was told in a company-wide email.

We reached out to CBS about cuts at the other O&Os, we didn’t hear back.

I have said this before and will repeat myself. No company has ever cut its way to prosperity.
