Cincy Met Involved in Altercation to Return to the Station

WCPO Chief Meteorologist Steve Raleigh has friends and family in high places, and that may have helped him.

Raleigh and some of his family members were involved in an incident where a elderly couple got the crap beat out of them.

Carter Raleigh, the 28 year old son of Steve Raleigh was involved in a traffic incident with nearly 80 year old man, Douglas Morrow. It escalated from there and ended with the elderly couple on the ground bleeding.

The case was kicked around as Raleigh has ties to law enforcement.

It has now been determined that Raleigh is not being charged in the case.

“It has been determined that criminal charges are not warranted against Mr. Steve Raleigh, as there is no evidence that he violated any criminal law. Accordingly, as to Mr. Steve Raleigh, this investigation is closed,” said Clermont County Prosecutor Mark Tekulve in a media release Tuesday.

WCPO GM Jeff Brogan said Tuesday that “the official findings regarding Steve’s involvement announced today are consistent with what he told us about the incident from the beginning. Steve will soon return to WCPO 9 as our chief meteorologist.”

“I want to thank family, friends, colleagues and viewers for their patience and support. I look forward to returning to work soon,” Raleigh said.
