4 1/2 Decades and Still Going

If you work at a station for 8 or 10 years, you are considered a longtime vet.

But what about 45 years?

KTAB (Abilene) Anchor Bob Bartlett celebrated 45 years at the station.

Bartlett joined KTAB in August of 1979.

When Bartlett started at the station, he built the desks in the first KTAB newsroom. He worked for about two months preparing before the station officially went on the air.

It’s not often that you have an Anchor who signed the station on the air and is still there.

Bartlett has done most of the job in the newsroom — from sports to news director — to now the Main Anchor and Managing Editor.

45 years is a hell of a run.
