Lacking Leadership at Allen Media Station

WSIL (Carbondale, IL) News Director Jeff Mulligan made a very smart move to ditch out of the Allen Media station.

Mulligan joined the station in 2022 and is now moving on. He’s taken a Station Manager job with Scripps-owned KHSB in Kansas City.

WSIL’s GM, Charlie Grisham, also exited the station a few weeks ago.

That leaves WSIL with no GM and no News Director. With all the cuts happening at Allen Media, trying to fill either job with a quality person is going to be tough.

Then again, I would not be surprised if Allen Media doesn’t fill either position to save money.
