Hiring Freeze, Newscasts Dumped

Insiders at Allen Media are telling FTVLive that the company has basically put a hiring freeze in place. If a station has a “must fill” position, it must be approved by corporate first.

We also hear that Allen’s WFFT (Ft. Wayne) is axing newscasts. The weekend newscasts are being cut, along with some newscasts Monday-Friday.

WLFI, the Allen station in Lafayette is also said to be dumping their weekend newscasts.

Look for Allen to swing the ax across their properties, most likely by the end of the month.
