LA Anchor Sues For Discrimination

Former KCAL/KCBS Anchor Jeff Vaughn is suing CBS for discrimination. Vaughn is claiming that he was let go because he was white and was replaced by a minority.

Vaughn is asking for $5 million bucks and his old job back. America First Legal Foundation, a conservative group founded by Stephen Miller (yes that Stephen Miller) is representing Vaughn in his case.

“….it was obvious,” the suit states. “He was fired because he is an older, white, heterosexual male.”

In the lawsuit, Vaughn's legal team says he was an “Emmy award-winning news anchor” (who isn’t?) and that his “ratings were soaring.”

They did not define what “soaring” was in their minds.

Vaughan’s contract was not renewed in 2022.

CBS has not commented on the lawsuit.
