The incident involving WCPO Chief Meteorologist Steve Raleigh and the beating of an elderly couple is being handed off to a special prosecutor.

Carter Raleigh, the 28 year old son of Steve Raleigh was involved in a traffic incident with nearly 80 year old man, Douglas Morrow. The crash happened in a parking lot according to the Cincinnati Police Department’s traffic crash report.

Steve Raleigh was seen on video at the scene.

Due to Raleigh’s connections, the police have seemed to drag their feet on the case, and now it Is being handed off.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Melissa Powers announced the appointment of a special prosecutor to inquire into allegations of potential criminal activity occurring at the Montgomery Inn Boathouse on June 22nd of 2024.

Upon the motion of the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office, Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Patrick Dinkelacker ordered the appointment of Clermont County Prosecutor Mark J. Tekulve, and any of his assistants or designees, as a special prosecutor. Mark Tekulve has agreed to investigate and prosecute, if necessary, all criminal matters arising from the June 221d incident.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Melissa Powers commented: "I want to thank Mark Tekulve for accepting the appointment as special prosecutor in this matter. Mark is an accomplished attorney and outstanding prosecutor with decades of experience. I am certain that he and his staff will diligently inquire into this matter and ensure all appropriate actions are taken.”

As for WCPO, they have been anything but forth coming on the incident. Steve Raleigh deleted his social media after the video surfaced.

If this involved people without connections, we would have already seen people charged and arrests made.

At least that’s my opinion.
