/A press release circulated on social media, claiming that former President Jimmy Carter was dead.
It seems that’s allthe information that was needed for KFXV (Rio Grande Valley) to post a story on the President’s death.
The Texas station pulled the story, because, well, Jimmy Carter is not dead.
If the station read further through the press release, they might have figured out it was fake.
