Tossed By Tegna
/Jason Nappi was a weekend evening and weekday meteorologist for Tegna’s WCSH in Portland, ME.
At least, that was the case until last week, when he was kicked to the curb.
During his time at the station, Nappi often posted on social media, tagging businesses where he ate his meals.
FTVLive has often pointed out that tagging businesses in your posts look like an ad, or you doing so to get some free food.
Nappi had been doing this forever, and station management finally told him to stop tagging businesses on his station-branded account.
Nappi took to social to whine about the new edict and that appeared to lead to his dismissal. Something he also posted about:
It appears that Nappi is now looking to go the influencer route.
I agree with Tegna telling him to stop pimping businesses on his station-branded account, but I also wonder why it took them so long to do so?
Anyway, I’ll try to look more into it, but first I’m headed to #chipotle to grab a bite, and then a quick stop at #panera for a cookie.
