Well, it has finally made its way up the food chain.

Scripps is bring their new “news initiative” to their largest market station.

Scripps-owned KNXV (Phoenix) is looking to hire a babysitter Executive Reporter to look after the MMJs at the station.

A Scripps recruiter says that the station is also looking to hire six MMJs at KNXV.

According to the “Executive Reporter” job posting, you will, “will lead our mission to enhance storytelhe Eling. Provide expertise and passion for telling stories that impact our communities. Inspire and mentor talent at all levels to find creative ways to grow their skills.”

You would hope that in the 11th market, the hires would not need Inspiring and mentoring. By the time you are in that large of a market, you should know what you’re doing.

No word if KNXV will be running pre-recorded newscasts, but if I had to guess, I’m saying yes.

So sad to see this once great company implode.
