Former Tegna Anchor Arrested for Child Sex Crimes
/Back in January, in a Patron Only Story, FTVLive told you that a Tegna Anchor who had been on the job for just a few months had been named in a lawsuit that claimed a group of religious leaders committed sexual acts against a minor.
William Johnson joined Tegna's KYTX (Tyler, TX) in November of 2023.
He was one of the people named in a civil lawsuit against the Texas A&M University Chi Alpha chapter.
Well, now Johnson and two others have been arrested in the incident. They were busted by the Brazos County Sheriff’s office on the charges of indecency with a child by exposure.
The lawsuit accuses the group of men of “dry humping” the 13-year-old boy. Chi Alpha members are also said to have “showed... their testicles or anuses” to the boy, “pushed [his] face into [Chi Alpha members’] crotches and made sexual noises and pulled [his] pants down,” and “played a game called ‘Fire Truck’ where [Chi Alpha members] would rub their hands on [the 13-year-old’s] thighs and into his crotch.
