Longtime Pittsburgh Reporter Passes Away

WPXI (Pittsburgh) posted the news that longtime Reporter Dee Thompson had passed away.

Thompson joined WPXI team in 1974, initially starting as a sports reporter but eventually transitioned to news.

He retired in 2009.

I worked with Thompson at WPXI back in the mid to late 90’s. He was a guy that came in, did his job and left. There was no drama with Dee.

Thompson was 84 years old.
