Former Scripps Reporter Resurfaces Across the Street

In June of 2023, Justin Pazera signed off as the morning Anchor at KNXV in Phoenix.

When he left the Scripps station, he said, “It was time,” adding, “I've never really been able to look for a job in quite some time because I've always been under a contract. And so I just thought, at this point in my life, this would be a good time to just not renew, and to look at other options. What else is out there?"

He has now found out what is out there and it was across the street.

Pazera has signed on at Tegna’s KPNX. But, he says, he’ll have to get used to the hours once again. "The 2 a.m. alarm is brutal," Pazera said. "I can’t even try and say it’s not. It doesn’t matter if you have eight hours of sleep, your body knows it’s still obnoxiously early. But it’s worth it. I love morning news. I’ve done it before so it’s good to be back."
