Nexstar Wants the FCC to Reverse Ruling

You may remember that the FCC lowered the hammer on Nexstar and its ownership of WPIX (New York) by Nexstar’s side company Mission Broadcasting.

The FCC ordered Nexstar to sell WPIX and hit the comapny with more than a million dollar fine.

Nexstar is now trying to get the FCC cancel its ruling to sell the station and do away with the fine.

If Mission sells the station to Nexstar, it would put the broadcasting giant over the ownership cap and Nexstar would have to sell off some of their other stations.
