We're creatures of habit. The number of people who follow an anchor to their new station ... and stay with the new station ... is pretty small, regardless of how good or bad the second station is.

As someone who works at WKYC, i was beyond surprised to read Monica Robins “manifesto”. She knows very well that this once successful news operation has been a victim of multiple self inflicted wounds by management. Bad hires ( paying a comedian over six figures!!!) luring anchors and reporters with false promises so they quit, Changing the names of out  newscasts to  “Go” and “What matters most”.  Now we’ve hired a new morning anchor from the #4 morning news in the market and kicked a beloved anchor to the curb. Blame the changing business all you want but Monica conveniently left out the biggest factor in our failure…the WKYC bosses poor decisions

In the FTVLive Almost Daily Email, where I talked about how tipping is expected everywhere.

Email:

ZERO tip unless it is a waitress or hair stylist etc., service types, not baristas and those who work at 7-11.
