While Florida’s homeowners insurance rates have skyrocketed to the highest in the country (by a lot), Florida Governor Ron DeSantis left the state to make a failed run for President.

While he did nothing about the insurance rates, he did try and screw over Walt Disney World because they did not agree with his so-called “Don’t Say Gay” legislation.

When Disney made a statement opposing DeSantis, he got his panties in a knot and tried to takedown Florida’s largest employer. He used the spat to try and win political points with the right-wingers.

The move to try and punish Disney cost the people of Florida millions of dollars in legal fees.

Now that he won’t be President and the Disney dispute is no longer getting him headlines, DeSantis is ending his war on Mickey Mouse.

DeSantis and Disney announced that they will drop the lawsuits they have filed against each other and negotiate new development agreement for the Disney area.

DeSantis is happy, Disney is happy, and the taxpayers of Florida were screwed over for millions.

Oh! Insurance rates continue to spin out of control.
