Cops Bust Suspected Torch Artist

A few days ago, FTVLive told you that an arsonist showed up at Nexstar’s KUSI with a blowtorch in hand.

The torch artist shot flames all over the security keypad at the station’s gate and then entered the parking lot, where he torched employees ’ cars. Employees worked fast to put out the flames with station fire extinguishers.

It appears that the San Diego Metro Arson Strike Team (MAST) has found and arrested the fire bug.

While responding to another call. MAST determined that the subject who was involved with that call was the same suspect in the Nexstar studios fire.

The suspect is identified as 41-year-old Dimitrius Cannon. He was arrested for multiple counts of arson. Evidence was recovered from Cannon linking him to the arsons.
