Cox Media was one of the best companies to work for in local TV. The Cox stations were often rated No. 1 in news ratings and money was spent to put on a solid news product.

Cox was then taken over by Apollo, and the Cox stations quickly went downhill. Cuts were made, news choppers were grounded, and the once great company became a place that many people looked to get out of.

I say that, just to let you know that Apollo is in talks to buy or takeover Paramount Global, which is the parent company of CBS.

If you work at CBS or a CBS O&O, I urge you to call anyone you know at Cox Media so you can see what you’re in for if this deal happens.

Here’s a hint: it’s not good.

Apollo is a hedge fund, and hedge funds exist for one reason and one reason only…too make money.
