CNN Blows Up Morning Show Yet Again

CNN has spent millions of dollars trying to put on a morning show that people will watch.

They have failed time and time again.

Jeff Zucker moved operations from Atlanta to New York and launched “New Day” and it landed with a thud.

Some of the people that have been involved in the failed morning shows are, Michaela Pereira, Chris Cuomo, Don Lemon, Poppy Harlow, Kaitlan Collins, John Berman, Brianna Keilar, and others.

After Zucker, Chris Licht tried to re-launch the morning show and it failed.

Now, CNN’s latest boss Mark Thompson is going to give it a go.

Thompson has also decided to move the production of the show from New York back to Atlanta.

At this point it is like watching a cat chase its tail.

Poppy Harlow and Phil Mattingly, who co-anchor “CNN This Morning,” are getting kicked to the curb.

Kasie Hunt’s early-morning show will be expanded by an hour, and will be retitled to “CNN This Morning”.

Thompson is moving “CNN News Central,” anchored by John Berman, Kate Bolduan and Sara Sidner, to a 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. slot.

Then, in even a more head-shaking move Thompson is bringing in CNN’s biggest ego, Jim Acosta and pairing him up with Pamela Brown to run from10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Our thoughts to Brown on this one.

The changes take place in a few weeks. Many of the staff based in New York will likely be screwed. But, Thompson knows that it is much cheaper to produce a show out of Atlanta, than it is in New York.

Stay tuned, and 8 to 14 months from now, we can do it all over again.
