ABC News Boss Demoted

“It took so much longer than it should have,” an ABC News staffer said to FTVLive.

The interesting thing is two other ABC News staffers reached out to FTVLive and said almost the exact same quote.

They are talking about the demotion of ABC News President Kim Godwin.

The network bumped up executive Debra O’Connell yesterday as the head a new division that would oversee ABC News. This move knocks Godwin down, putting her under O’Connell.

Under Godwin, ratings for both World News Tonight and GMA have gone south.

Godwin came to ABC 3 years ago, coming from CBS News.
