The Old Boys Club at The Firm's Seattle Station?

Insiders at Fox O&O, KCPQ (Seattle) tell FTVLive that something is going on with the women in management at The Firm’s Seattle station.

FTVLive reported a few months ago about Denise Guerrero (Assistant News Director) leaving, and a source says that since then - the number of women in management has been drastically cut.

The Morning EP and the Nightside EP, both women announced they were leaving. In addition to that, the assignment manager, also a female, is leaving as well.

When those exits happen, nearly/every single manager in the newsroom will be male.

“The news director Jake (Wiederrich) and his assistant news director Kelly (Kelly is a guy) basically started running an old boys club,” says a station employee. “They treated all the female managers like second-class people, excluded them from important meetings, and shit all over all of their ideas in editorial meetings,” the source added.

You would hope that Fox would do better, but many working at the O&Os say that corporate doesn’t seem to care about the owned stations.

We might add, look at what is happening at KRIV (Houston) for proof of that.
