I read your post about WBNS. That station was once a powerhouse and there were rumors that CBS wanted to make it an O&O. It was THAT good.

But about 10 years ago, it started to decline. A friend of mine was a reporter there and told me she wasn't re-signing her contract because the station hired a longtime intern to be its weekend anchor. That young woman had been in the newsroom as a college intern for years but had never written a package or of course, had no small market on-air experience.

That was the beginning of the end. Tegna took over shortly after that and it was all downhill from there.

Yeah, that's what happens when you have a centralized social media hub. It's too easy to cut and paste till someone like you keeps them honest.

Scott,

I love your YouTube videos, and I have a couple of ideas for the subject matter.

How about a “Day in the Life of FTV”?

I think people would be interested in what your day entails.

Also, you promised us a tour of the FTV bunker after you moved in a long time ago. That was like 3 years ago.

I love the videos; I just wish we would see more of them.

FTVLive reply: I have gotten several emails asking for more videos, more often, and at least a dozen have asked about a day in the life. First off, my day is not very exciting, but maybe I’ll give it a try. I know Day in the Life videos are a big thing on YouTube, but I have a feeling my day would be the most boring.

Also, I moved into The Bunker 2 years ago, not 3, and as promised, that video is coming.

I never gave a promise of when it would happen.
