Another Leap for Streaming

As people continue to cut the cord due to the astronomical cable rates, streaming becomes a bigger player.

On Christmas Day, Netflix paid $150 million bucks per game to stream two NFL games.

Netflix carried the the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens and they are happy with the results.

The K.C. game was the second-most popular live stream in Netflix’s history, with over 200 different countries tuning in to watch at some point during the game.

There were some technical issues, but it was certainly the start that the NFL was hoping to see.

It is certainly another chink in the armor of the broadcast networks.
