That Didn't Last Long
/When Nexstar’s WPRI launched “12 in the Wild” it was billed as a show about all things Rhode Island, and what there is to do in RI.
Here was the launch video done by the station.
Welcome to 12 In the Wild! 🌊 We’re out here exploring all the amazing spots in and around Rhode Island—restaurants, shops, events, you name it! #12inthewild #ExploreRI #SupportLocal #WPRI12 #ProvidenceEats pic.twitter.com/lrRgTpGmwI

But just two weeks later and they have already taken “12 in the Wild” out of state to Canton, Mass. Now, I know Rhode Island is small, but you would think they could have gone more than two weeks before heading out of state.

When WPRI first launched this, we said it sure looked like it was a pay-for-play segment, despite the fact that they did not disclose it.
Well, thanks to FTVLive, they at least admit it in the hashtag now.
