The Other Question You Should Be Asking
/Cox’s WHIO did a story on a Sheriff’s Lieutenant who posted on social media that citizens shouldn’t bother calling 911 if you're a Democrat. He said if you’re a Democrat, he’s not going to help you.
WHIO did the story, and according to the department, the deputy was given a written reprimand and remained on the job as the lieutenant overseeing road patrol.
In the story, WHIO reported that the Sheriff’s office said that the Deputy was blaming sleeping pills he was prescribed and said he doesn’t remember writing the posts.
You can watch the story below, but I think the station missed a very important point.
If the "sleeping pills” affect his judgment and he can’t operate his own social media, should he be on the streets with a gun and badge while he's using them?
I think that is a much more important question than his political beliefs.

Ohio Sheriff’s Lieutenant tells citizens don't bother calling 911 if you're a Democrat.
John Rodgers says you must "provide proof of who you voted for. I am sorry. If you support the Democratic Party, I will not help you survive"
